The organizing committee has organized the congress dinner on Thursday, 12th, at Ristorante EL BRELLIN, which not only is a historical Milanese restaurant on the Navigli but also is a special place for us. It is in fact located in the so-called “Vicolo dei Lavandai” taking the name of a washhouse that until the end of the 1950s was used by women to wash clothes and linen.
The Vicolo dei Lavandai is an enchanting place where, with a bit of imagination, you can step back in time and envisage the workers bent over washing the clothes in the stream. Today the rooms of the old drugstore that sold soap, bleach, and brushes to the washerwomen are home to the restaurant El Brellin which, with its fireplaces and coffered ceilings, has preserved the atmosphere of this location.
We will taste, among the others, with a glass of Italian wine, Risotto alla Milanese and the famous original Tiramisù. Allergies and special dietary requests will be communicated to the chef the same evening, to provide an alternative menu.
After dinner, we will head to the KINGS pub (5 minutes walking from the restaurant) where we will close the evening with a couple of artisanal beers or cocktails after a nice walk by the Navigli, the heart of Milan’s night.
